Last week Shelley Shumaker, Administrative Assistant to the Bishop, turned in her resignation and ended her employment at the episcopal office as of Friday, October 14, 2016.
Bishop Bob shared this message with the staff of the Desert Southwest Conference,
“Shelley is leaving after faithfully serving in this position for over two years. Many persons who have called or visited or contacted my office have expressed appreciation for her hospitality and grace. Many of you have come to know and appreciate her and have established friendships with her. I know that this is difficult news. I ask that you join me in holding Shelley and her family in prayer during this time of transition. I wish her well and great success in her future endeavors.”
Shelley’s gone through significant transitions in her life since her job began in the episcopal office including moving from Las Vegas to Phoenix. Despite all of the changes, Shelley remained an energetic and faith-filled spirit. Shelley is eagerly anticipating an exciting and joyful transition in her life. Very soon she will be welcoming a new grand baby!
